Secure Exports with Pallet Heat Treatment Certification
Pallet Heat Treatment Certification
Avoid customs seizures and costly demurrage charges. We provide ISPM-15 certified packaging that guarantees your shipments pass international borders without delay.
The Cost of Non-Compliance: Customs Rejections and Delays
Export Denial: Non-compliant wood leads to immediate shipment rejection at the port, causing massive financial losses and reputational damage.
Pest Infestation: Untreated wood can harbor pests, risking cross-border contamination and triggering emergency quarantine protocols.
Operational Halts: Replacing rejected packaging mid-transit stalls your supply chain, requiring emergency disposal of the non-compliant assets.
Demurrage Fees: Every day your cargo sits in customs due to paperwork errors eats into your profit margins.
ISPM-15 Heat Treatment: The Passport for Your Global Shipments
We act as your regulatory safeguard. Through precise packaging engineering, we ensure every crate and pallet meets global ISPM-15 standards. Our certification process is integral to our industrial services, verifying that the wood core reaches 56°C for 30 minutes to eliminate all biological risks.
Rapid Processing
We integrate certification into our turnkey manufacturing lines, ensuring compliant pallets are ready for dispatch immediately.
Risk Avoidance
Investing in certified project cargo packaging prevents the exponential costs of return freight and destroyed cargo.
Global Traceability
We manage packaging logistics with full documentation, ensuring every unit has a traceable audit trail for customs inspectors.

What is ISPM-15 heat treatment?
ISPM-15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) is a global regulation requiring solid wood packaging material to be heat treated to prevent the spread of pests and diseases. The process involves heating the wood core to a minimum of 56°C for at least 30 minutes. This eradicates insects like termites and wood borers. Once treated, the wood is stamped with the IPPC mark, certifying it for international transit. Compliance is mandatory for export to most countries. Ensure your exports are compliant with our certified heat treatment.
Why do pallets need heat treatment for export?
Pallets need heat treatment to protect global ecosystems from invasive species hiding in the timber. Without this treatment, wooden packaging can transport larvae or pests across borders, potentially devastating local forests and agriculture. Customs authorities worldwide strictly enforce this; non-compliant shipments are often rejected, quarantined, or destroyed at the port of entry, causing massive financial losses and delays. Heat treatment is your passport for global trade, ensuring seamless customs clearance. Secure your supply chain with ISPM-15 certified pallets.
What happens if I export non-heat-treated wood?
Exporting non-heat-treated wood carries severe risks. If customs inspectors detect non-compliant packaging, they may deny entry to the entire shipment. You could face fines, the cost of fumigation at the port (which is expensive and damaging), or be forced to pay for the return freight of the goods. in worst-case scenarios, the cargo packaging is incinerated. The cost of compliance is a tiny fraction of the cost of a rejected shipment. Don’t risk it; use our certified export packaging services.
Difference between kiln-dried and heat-treated pallets?
While both processes involve heating wood, the objectives differ. Heat treatment (HT) is purely for pest sterilization to meet ISPM-15 standards (56°C for 30 mins). Kiln-drying (KD) aims to reduce the moisture content of the wood to prevent mold and warping (typically to below 19% moisture). While KD often achieves HT standards as a byproduct, ‘HT’ specifically refers to the sterilization certification. For the best export protection, we recommend pallets that are both Heat Treated and Kiln Dried (KD-HT). Ask about our mold-free export solutions.
