What is considered Over Dimensional Cargo (ODC)?
ODC is any cargo that exceeds the standard dimensions of a 20ft or 40ft shipping container, requiring special handling and transport equipment like a flat rack.
How do you determine the correct lifting points?
We work with your technical drawings to identify the product’s strongest structural points and its center of gravity, then build the frame’s lifting points to align with them.
Does a frame crate offer any protection from damage?
It provides excellent protection against structural damage during lifting and securing. However, it offers no protection from weather, dust, or surface scratches.
Why not just bolt the machine directly to a skid?
A skid only provides a base. A frame adds crucial top-side structure for stability, containment, and safe, designated points for crane slings, preventing damage to the machine itself.
Is the wood for frame crates ISPM-15 treated?
Yes. All solid timber components, no matter the size, are heat-treated to meet full ISPM-15 compliance for international freight.
